The Roberts County National Bank of Sisseton is pleased to announce that the recipient of the $1,000 Roberts County National Bank/South Dakota Bankers Foundation Scholarship is Nicholas Peterson of Sisseton, SD.

Nicholas is the son of Larry and Kathy Peterson. He plans on attending South Dakota State University in Brookings to study civil engineering. Through high school, Nick participated in Future Business Leaders of America, football, and wrestling among other activities. Nick is active in his church youth group, and has served as an organist for his church. He has also participated in many community service activities.

“We are proud of Nick's academic achievements and participation in activities at Sisseton High School and his service to our community. Nick serves as a positive role model for others. He brings great credit to his family, school and community,” stated John S. Rasmussen, CEO of Roberts County National Bank.

Notice Of Expiration of the Temporary Full FDIC Insurance Coverage For Non Interest-Bearing Transaction Accounts

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a non interest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor's accounts at an insured depository institution, including all non interest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maxiumum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.
