What is Internet Banking?
Roberts County National Bank’s Internet Banking allows you to use a
personal computer with internet access to manage your bank accounts.
This service enables you to:
• Transfer funds between your accounts
• Obtain balance information
• Review transactions on your accounts
• Make loan payments
• Obtain a copy of your account statements for the current and
previous statement cycle
• Order checks
• Export your statement information into a personal financial
management software
• Review rental information on your safe deposit box
How much does Internet Banking service cost?
Internet Banking service is FREE to our customers.
Is Internet Banking secure?
Internet banking is a safe and secure way to conduct your banking
transactions. Our Internet Banking program uses industry standard
technology to maintain the privacy and security of your personal
information and banking transactions. This technology includes access
ID and password controlled entry into the secure internet banking
site, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and 128-bit data encryption.
Firewalls are also in place for security in the transmission of your
data.
When can I use Internet Banking?
You may log on to Internet Banking any time, 24-hours a day, seven
days a week. You may access Internet Banking from any computer with
internet access.
How do I sign up for Internet Banking?
Existing bank customers may click on First Time User, read and accept
the Internet Banking Agreement and Disclosure, and complete the
requested information to enroll. This information includes your Social
Security Number, mother’s maiden name, your main account number and
account type, a security question and security answer, and optional
email address. (Mother’s maiden name, security question and security
answer are for security and identification purposes for future
inquiries from you.) An example of a security question and answer would
be What is my pet’s name? Answer: Tigger. You may choose any question
and answer you wish for your personal security, but you will want to
avoid using information that is easy to guess. Once entered, your
information will be securely transmitted to our bank. When received,
we will issue to you within two business days an initial access ID and
password, sent in two separate mailings by U.S. Mail.
Once you receive your access ID and password, you may go to our
website at www.rcnbank.com and Log In. You will be prompted
immediately to change your access ID and password. You must change
your access ID and password at this time, and you will continue to use
your chosen access ID and password for all future log-ins.
What are the requirements for the Access ID and
Password?
Your access ID must be a minimum of 6 characters. Your Password must
be a minimum of 6 characters and a maximum of 10 characters. Your
access ID and Password are case sensitive. An example would be a
password of roberts must always be entered as roberts, and not Roberts
or ROBERTS). For extra security, we encourage the use of letters and
numbers, both upper and lower case in your password. You will want to
avoid using words or numbers that are easy to guess such as names or
birthdates, etc.
How do I change my Password?
To change your existing password at any time, click on the “Change Password"
button when logged in to Internet Banking.
What if I forget my Access ID or Password?
For security reasons, no Access ID or Password list is maintained.
Please call our bank to request a new Access ID and Password.
What can I do to help protect my privacy and
security?
You should keep your personal Access ID and Password confidential.
Do not share them with anyone. Avoid using Access ID’s and Passwords
that are names or numbers that are easy to guess. Always log off
Internet Banking before walking away from your computer, even if you
are only walking away for a short time.
If you believe that an unauthorized user has gained your Access ID and
Password you must notify our bank immediately.
When logged in to Internet Banking, how do I exit
properly?
To exit Internet Banking click on the Log Off button, which will
return you to our bank’s public web site.
Will I still get a bank statement if I sign up for
Internet Banking?
Yes, you will receive your bank statements as usual by U.S. Mail.
What are the hardware and software requirements in
order to use Internet Banking?
You must us an IBM compatible PC with either dial-up or DSL internet
access. You must use a browser that uses 128-bit encryption, the
highest level of encryption currently available. You may use either
Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator. If you do not
know if your browser uses 128-bit encryption, click on the “Help”
button in your browser to review, and update if necessary. Internet
Banking is best viewed when your screen resolution is set to 800x600.
